June Eyvette Diggs-Skinner was born on April 25, 1969. At the time of her transition on August 21, 2020, she was 51 years old. Her parents are Junior and Annie Mae Workman-Diggs and widow of the late Frankie Skinner. Eyvette attended the Sumter County School System and Sumter Beauty College. She was baptized at Rafting Creek Baptist Church. Her favorite saying when departing from the company of someone for example went a little something like this. You would say, “See ya next time Eyvette” and she would simply reply, “If God say so”. Throughout her years, Eyvette was a dedicated hard worker. She worked within the Sumter School District in Pinewood, three different clothing factories and Cypress Nursing home of Sumter. She leaves to cherish fond memories: god niece, Bianca Leti Bennett, whom she loved and cherish like her own daughter; siblings, Annie Deloris Workman-Adams (Albertis) of Pinewood, Robert Junior Diggs (Jessie Mae Muntford) of Pooler, GA, Mamie Ellen Diggs-Bennett (Melvin James) and Martha Marie Diggs-Davis (Eric Tracy) of Sumter, Constance Nicole Diggs-Gilmore (Irvin Alexander) of Dalzell; twelve nieces; six nephews, eleven great nieces; four great nephews; and a host of other relatives, friends and love ones. Due to the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Graveside services will be held 12 Noon, Sunday, August 30, 2020 in the Rafting Creek Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert, with Elder J. Elbert Williams, officiating. The procession will leave the home at 11:30 a. m.
