Bro. Leroy “Joe” Robinson, 63, son of the late Ella Mae Robinson, was born January 16, 1957 in Sumter. He departed this life on June 4, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Leroy enjoyed watching baseball games and professional wrestling. He would often go watch the Rembert 521 All-Stars play. He began working for Lowder Brothers Gin Company at an early age and continued there until it closed, Leroy found God at an early age and was baptized in the Name of Jesus at The Church In The Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostles’ Doctrine, Inc. He leaves to cherish his memories:; wife of 42 years, Fannie Robinson of Rembert; four daughters, Tracey (Kelvin) McClain and Nakenya (Antonio) James of Sumter, Fatima Robinson of Camden and Ziarre Bracey of the home; four grandsons; five aunts raised as sisters, Minnie Robinson, Catherine Robinson, Rebecca Robinson and Elizabeth Addison of Sumter and Sabrina Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; two stepsisters, Louise Jenkins and Patricia Hudson of Sumter; a host of grand aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 40 McLeod Street, Rembert. Graveside Services will be held 2 p. m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 from The Church In The Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostles Doctrine, Inc., 2449 Calvary Road, Hartsville, with Bishop Joe C. Tisdale, Officiating, Eulogist. The procession will leave from the home at 1 p. m.
