Dan Michael “Mike” Richardson, 61, was born January 9, 1959 in Sumter County to the late Jake and Bessie English Richardson. Softly and sweetly Jesus called and on Thursday, May 21, 2020 Dan answered his Savior’s call at Pruitt Health Facility, Walterboro. Michael received his early childhood education in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School, Class of 1977. Upon graduation, Michael joined the United States Army, where he served his country for 3 years. Michael leaves to cherish her memories: his wife, Queen Johnson Richardson of Kingstree; one son, Quincy (Trina) Johnson of Florence; two daughters, Danielle Richardson of Jacksonville, FLA and Melissa Richardson of Kingstree; two brothers, Jake T. Richardson and Gary Richardson; and two sisters, Jennifer Kennedy and Sharon Aragua (Charles), all of Sumter; five grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 6 Bobs Drive, Sumter. Memorial services will be held 2:30 p. m., today, May 28, 2020 from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Joseph Ricks, officiating.
