Bobbie Jo (King) Walker, affectionately known as “Putney”, 57, departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born February 28, 1962, in Waynesboro, GA, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Charles King and Curley Baby Bines. Putney moved to Florida with her parents in the late 1960 where she thrived as a child. She attended Stranham High School in Fort Lauderdale and to a job at Morrison Cafeteria where she worked as a food line worker. She is survived by: her loving husband of 28 years, Larry Walker; two sons, Michael Moore (Angela) and Charlie Moore; one brother, Tommie King (Phyllis); seven sisters, Kella M Stanley (John), Charlie Maud Reeves, JoEvelyn King, Janie Howard (James), Oney Lovell (Andrew) Hattie Duirden (James) Jr.), ElviraTokas (Darryl); three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 1532 Copley Drive, Sumter. Wake services will be Saturday, 5:30 – 7:00 p. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. Celebration of Life services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019, 2 p. m. from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. James Duirdeen, officiating, eulogist. The procession will leave at 1:20 p. m. from the home.
