Elder Sarah English James was born on April 7, 1928 in Clarendon County to the late Andrew and Sadie Colclough English. She departed this earthly life on January 16, 2026 at her home. She attended Clarendon County School System. Sarah loved the Lord, attending church, and singing in the choir. Sarah, the matriarch of the family, leaves a legacy of memories to be cherish by her sister, her children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 3670 Myrtle Beach Highway, Sumter. Celebration of Life Services will be held 3:00 p. m., Friday, January 23, 2026 at Congruity Presbyterian Church USA, 3750 Congruity Road, Gable, with the Rev. Alonzo A. Washington, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Congruity Church Cemetery.
