Charles Akbar, son of the late Marie Haynesworth, was born November 04, 1952 in Sumter SC. “Charlie Horse” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, received his heavenly wings on August 15, 2025 at his home in Sumter SC, as a result of his ongoing battle with heart failure. Charles received his education in the public schools of Sumter, SC, and went on to become self-employed with his own roofing business. His memories will be cherished by his wife, family members and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 890 Nevada Court, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, officiating.
