Sister Emma Ollie Hunter English, daughter of the late Ollie Hunter and Phyllis Curtis Hunter, was born June 28, 1929 in Borden, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, South Carolina. She attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Adult Education at Ebenezer High School. At an early age, she was converted and baptized at the High Hills Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her children, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at her home, 20 Phyllis Lane, Wedgefield. Celebration of Life Services will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at High Hills Baptist Church, 6750 Meeting House Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Donald Amis, Pastor. Burial will follow in the High Hills Baptist Church Cemetery.
