Samuel “STEPHON” Carr, son of Samuel Lee and the late Freddie Mae Durant Carr, was born January 21, 1992. Samuel, affectionately known as "Stephon", entered into his eternal rest on February 27, 2024. Stephon received his education from the Sumter School District. He graduated from Crestwood High School with the Class of 2011 and furthered his education by completing a certificate program at Arclabs Welding School in 2023. He was gainfully employed at Custom Profile in Camden, South Carolina until his health began to decline. Stephon was reared at Canty Memorial Church of God In Christ, where he was a member of the Youth Choir. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation from 3:00 – 7:00 p. m. at the home of Charissa Robinson, 4099 Ollie Drive, Rembert. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Grant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5405 Black River Road, Rembert, with the Rev. Clifton Witherspoon, Pastor, Pastor James P. Durant, Eulogist. Burial will be in the Joshua Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell.
