Tarrell Kacey Grant was born on February 14, 1997 in Sumter, South Carolina. He is the son of Timothy and Carbia Grant. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Tarrell attended the public schools in Sumter, S. C. and later in Davidson County where he graduated from Antioch High School, Antioch, Tennessee. He was employed by Conn’s Home Plus for over five years as a Home Delivery Installation Expert. During the early years of his life, he attended Joshua Baptist Church where he participated in various youth church activities like vacation bible school and children’s church. His favorite song was “Never Would Have Made It”. Tarrell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Houston and Lucille Grant, Sr.; great-grandparents, Joseph and Francis Brisker); great-grandfather, Robert Jett; and one uncle, Loneal Grant. He leaves to cherish precious memories are: his loving parents of 26 years, Timothy and Carbia Grant of Smyrna, TN; one daughter, Ta’Veah Kacey Louisa Medders of Madison, TN; two brothers, Timothy Ray’Shard Grant of Smyrna, TN and Tarrion Joseph Grant of Murfreesboro, TN; four aunts, Mattie Montgomery, Clotell Way, Patricia Jefferson (Rev. William “BJ”) of Sumter, SC and Ethel Jones of New Market, AL; three uncles, Dea. Willie H. Grant, Jr. (Gladys), Donald Ray Grant of Sumter, SC, and Billy Ray Williams, II (Naomi) of Murfreesboro, TN; one niece, Kamari Marie Grant of Smyrna, TN; grandparents, Billy and Karon Williams, Sr. of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandmother, Willie Mae Jett of Baton Rouge, LA; special friend, Sydney Medders of Madison, Tennessee; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a. m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Joshua Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell with the Rev. Eugene Dennis, Pastor, Eulogist. Burial will be in the Joshua Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
