Terry Mickel was born October 17, 1965 in Bishopville. He was the son of Rosa Lee Mickel and the late Delano Mickel, Sr. On Friday, November 11, 2022, God called his angel from labor to reward. Terry attended the public schools of Lee County and graduated from Bishopville High School, Class of 1983. Terry was formerly employed at Republic Service of Bishopville. Terry leaves to cherish his precious memories: a very devoted wife, Valorie Smith Mickel; his children, Tiera (Joe) Charleston of Columbia, Terry Jr. and Victor of the home, Tareese Boyd and Altrica (Miller) Thomas of Bishopville; his mother, Rosa Lee Mickel of Bishopville; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Merilyn) of Marion, Eric (Letoya) of Bishopville; two sisters, Shirley (Harry) of Bishopville, Kathy (Elliott) of Camden; a mother-in-law, Thelma (Leroy) Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face mask and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p. m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at The Church In The Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostle Faith, 2449 Calvary Road, Hartsville, with the Bishop Joe C. Tisdale, Pastor, Eulogist. The funeral procession will leave from the home at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in the Hartsville Church Cemetery, Hartsville.
