Jackie Pringle, 62, died on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his home in Sumter. Born on May 7, 1960, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Leroy Pringle, Sr. and Elizabeth Yates Pringle. He received his formal education from the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School with the Class of 1978. Jackie had various jobs as a handy man and last worked as a janitor at Continental Tires, Sumter. He leaves to Cherish his memories: his son, Marcus Benbow; six siblings, Elizabeth Conner, Leroy Pringle Jr., Nancy (Marion) Colclough, Edward (Myrna) Pringle, Jeronia Pringle, and Delores (Collam) Wells; his friend, Minnie Dicks and her two children that he took as daughters, Michelle Strother and Marshalla Dicks-Prothro, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 117 Armstrong Boulevard, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc. 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Jacob C. McLeod, Officiating. The procession will leave the home at 12:30 p. m. Burial will follow in the Aycock Cemetery, Sumter.
