Albertus Generette, son of the late Thomas and Daisy King Generete, was born January 8, 1956 in Sumter. He departed his earthy life on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his residence. He attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he received the following Citations: Army Service Ribbon, Over Seas Service Ribbon, The Good Conduct Medal and The Sharp Shooter Badge. He is survived by three grandsons, Shaibeen and Gerge June and Capone Generette, all from Sumter; two brothers, Thomas Generette of Charleston, and James Lee Generette of Sumter; one uncle, Sammie Generettte of Sumter; two aunts, Katie (Luther) Generette and Dorothy Generette of Sumter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 3 Shuler Drive, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p. m., Saturday, December 11, 2021 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Pastor Maurice Wells, officiating. The procession will leave the home at 2:00 p. m. Burial will be Monday, December 13, 2021 – 12:00 Noon in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia.
