On Monday, March 5, 2021, Roosevelt Tindall, Jr. exchanged mortality for immortality in New York. Roosevelt was born on June 25, 1965 to the late Roosevelt Tindall Sr. and Lucille Felder Tindall in South Carolina. He attended PS 218 public school of Kings County, Brooklyn, New York. Later, he joined the Job Core where his major was automobile, construction and also engineering. Because he always wanted to be a producer, he became a DJ over New York City and New Jersey. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Thomas Blades and Roosevelt Tindal II of New Jersey; five daughters, April Blades (Joseph Evans) of New Jersey, Chanel Jordan of Virginia, Shantel (Kevin) Hunter of MO, Shi-Dae Tindal, Sha-nani Tindall of New Jersey; four sisters, Sherey “Shirley” (Donald) Foy and Ida (Leeroger) Johnson, both of Sumter, Barbara T. Jackson of Staten Island, N. Y., and Lillie Ann (Larry) Carnes of Fayetteville, N. C.; four aunts, Eva Way, Bertha (James) Grinnell, Emma Jane Felder and Ivory Ann Cover, all of South Carolina; two uncles, , James Leroy Tindall of California and Robert Tindall of Sumter; and a host of adopted brothers and sisters, cousins, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID -19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during all visitations at the home, 683 Caroland Lane , Sumter. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p. m., Thursday, March 18, 2021 at John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Brother Leonard Logan, officiating. The procession will leave the home at 2:20 p. m. Burial will be in the Paxville Cemetery, Highway 261 South, Paxville.
