Elizabeth Clea, 79, was born February 8, 1941 in Sumter County to the late Mary Alice Clea Young. She departed this life on January 5, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. She was employed at Gold Kist for many years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of Rafting Creek Baptist Church, Rembert. She was preceded in death by her mother; a brother, Frank Clea and five children, James, Stella, Frances, Sammie Lee and Kenneth Earl Clea. She leaves to mourn her passing: five children, Bertha L. Clea, Barbara Ann Clea, Sarah E. (Murray) Tindal, Michael A. Clea and Steven T. Clea; her children of guardianship, Santana Renae, Kenyada Earlissa and Ashley Rochelle Clea; one sister, Bertha L. (Earnest) Samuel of Washington, DC; a special daughter, Darlene R. Campbell, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by all relatives and friends during home visitation at 4970 Dennis Road, Rembert. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Elder Terry, officiating. The procession will leave the home at 1:20 p. m. Burial will be in the Rafting Creek Baptist Churchyard Cemetery, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert.
