Allen Alexis Brown, 46, was born on January 6, 1974 and transitioned from the earthly life on October 27, 2020. He was the son of Johnny and Betty Brown Gause. He was educated in the public school system. Allen was a member of the Hillcrest Marching Band and Who’s Who of America, Furman High School Band and chorus, and a graduate of Furman High School, Class of 1993. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He attended Allen University, Columbia, where he earned a B A Degree in Psychology. Allen was a hard worker, working in various jobs such as the trucking industry, corrections and security. He lived life and enjoyed life with a natural gift to make others laugh. His life was infectious and he found the good in everyone. He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Johnny and Betty Gause of Sumter; paternal grandmother, Rose Staley of Summerton; two daughters, Taliyah Brown of San Diego, CA, Amiracle Brown of Savannah, GA; one brother, Johnny (Katurah) Gause of Columbia; two sisters, Yolanda Gause of Sumter, Dianne (Johnny) Shingler of Columbia; four aunts; seven uncles; one nephew; two nieces; two great nephews; one god sister; and a host of other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COV19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 891 Furman Drive, Sumter. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 – 1100 a. m. in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Minister Silas Brown, officiating, eulogist. The procession will leave from the home at 10:30 a. m. Burial will be 2:00 p. m. in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Pervical Road, Columbia.
