Edward “Charles” McDaniel, Sr., 67, was born on January 31, 1953 to the late Edward and Alma Dell Brisbon McDaniel of Springhill. Charles answered our Heavenly Father’s call on Friday, April 3, 2020. Charles was raised in Springhill and attended the public schools of Lee County. He was a graduate of Ashwood High School, Class of 1971. Charles was employed at Dupont / Invista, Lugoff, for 48 years, retiring in 2015. He was a member of New Life Apostolic Church, Sumter. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Elease Green McDaniel of 42 years; three children, Crystal (Maurice) Cousar, Natasha (Delwin) Lee and Edward Jr. “Chuck” (Tiawanna); four grandchildren, Jaden and Kylen Lee, NiJyia and Taylar McDaniel; three sisters, Dorothy (James) Dow, Bernice (Willis) Bolden and Betty McDaniel, all of Dalzell; four brothers, William (Bessie) Jenkins, James Murray, Leroy and Lorenzo McDaniel, all of Dalzell; two aunts, Inez Chester of Florida and Janie (Sonny) Jamison of Pennsylvania; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 61 McDaniel Road, Dalzell. Graveside Services will be held 11 a. m., Wednesday, April 8, 2020 from The Sand Hill Cemetery, 60 Stuckey Town Road, Rembert, with Elder Ricky Finklea, Officiating, Eulogist. The procession will leave from the home at 10:20 a. m.
