Julius “Rudy” Brown, Jr., 68, was born March 9, 1951 to the late Julius “Bootsie” Brown and Dorothy Porcher Brown in Sumter County. He transitioned from this life on Saturday, December 21, 2019. He received his early education at Ebenezer High School, Dalzell. He was an avid lover of Motorcycles. Rudy was a member of the Trail of Thunder Motorcycle Club of Charlotte, North Carolina Chapter. In his own words, Rudy would say “I lived a good life of 68 years” during which he worked in two professions. Julius attended Job Corps, where he completed his trade as a body work mechanic. Then he completed his Apprenticeship in drywall and became a master drywall mechanic. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Hazel Pickens Niblock-Brown; his children, LaSonya Davis (Shawn), Julius “Kade” Brown III; his siblings, Joseph Brown and Norman Brown of Sumter, Delores Brown and Linda Brown of Columbia, Barbara Brown of Atlanta, GA, Tonya Finnie (Dwayne, Sr.) of Virginia Beach, VA; his mother-in-law, Mary E. Pickens of Statesville, N. C.; a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 4855 Cannery Road, Dalzell. Funeral services will be held 2 p. m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Evangelist Angela Lovely, officiating, eulogist. Funeral Procession will leave from the home at 1:20 p. m. Burial will be in the High Hills Baptist Church Cemetery, 6750 Meeting House Road, Dalzell.
