Henry Mack Singletary, 58, departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Prisma Richland Health Hospital, Columbia. Born June 11, 1960 in Lee County, he was the son of Mary Fortune Singletary and the late Henry George Singletary. His greatest aspiration was to become an architect and help people in need. Mack is survived by his mother, Mary Singletary; his brother, Donald (Brenda) Singletary; his sisters, Geneva (Bobby) Mickens, Doretha (Jean) Singleton, Frances Singletary, Edna Jennings, Joria Singletary and Evelina (Cleveland) Singletary, all of Sumter; his daughter, Linda Scott; four grandchildren of Sumter; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 469 Loring Drive, Sumter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019, 2 p. m., from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Pastor Elder Wilson, officiating, eulogist. The funeral procession will leave from the home at 1:20 p. m. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery.
