Mary “Jackie” Wilson, 60, departed this life on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Tuomey Medical Center, Sumter.  Born in Lee County on October 29, 1952, she was the daughter of James and Gladys McClain Williams and widower of Jim Wilson. 

She was educated in the public schools of Lee County and was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Elliott.  Mary was a member of Unionville AME Church, Mayesville.  Mary was a loving, kind and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and best friend to many.  She was there for everyone, most importantly she loved her grandchildren.  There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She also loved to laugh, dance and provide for others even when she didn’t have for herself.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories;  her son, Jim Wilson of the home in Mayesville; her daughter, Lorraine Wilson of Mayesville; four sisters, Lou Ella (Terry) Scarborough, Gladys Williams and Lou Cile (Kirk) Rouse, all of Bishopville and Agnes Colston of New York;  three brothers, Bill (Patricia) Williams and Jimmy Williams, both of Mayesville and Robert (Rose Mary) Williams of Bishopville;  eight grandchildren;  a special friend, Matthew McCuthen of the home;  and  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives,  and friends.

She was preceded in death by  her parents; husband, Jim Wilson,  son, Thomas Wilson, a sister, Irene Edwards and two brothers, Bobby and  James Williams, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 from the Unionville AME. Church,  1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville,  with the Rev. Alvin E. Webb, pastor, eulogist, assisted by the ,

The family will receive friends at her home 6461 St. Charles Road, Mayesville.

The Remains will be placed in the church at 1:00 p. m.

The funeral procession will leave from her home at 1:20 p. m.

Floral bearers and  Pall bearers will be family and friends.

Burial will be in the Unionville AME Church Yard Cemetery, Mayesville.
