Lienina “Ina” White James, 39, wife of Jerome James, answered her call to eternal rest on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.
Born in Sumter County on November 6, 1970, she was a daughter of James Porter and Rosa Lee White Porter. She received her education in the public schools of Sumter County.
Ina leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Jerome James; her parents, James and Rosa Lee White Porter; one daughter, Elvira White (Robert Polite); one son, Joshua James; one sister, Ginny White Abrams; five grandchildren, Polly, Moon-Pie, Cee-Cee, Scooter and Peanut; four god grand children, Jermey, Emmaneul, Kendrick and Monique; and one niece, Molly Abrams; all of Sumter; ten aunts; two uncles; one brother-in-law, Silas Abrams, Jr. of Sumter; special friends, Monica Burkett and Jerrell Gore of Sumter; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronnie and Edna White, and one daughter, Maria Paulette James.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P. M., Monday, September 13, 2010 from the New Fellowship Baptist Church, 105 South Purdy Street, Sumter, with Reverend Dale Edwards, pastor, Rev. Henry K. Presley, pastor of Mt. Zero Missionary Baptist Church, Paxville, eulogist.
The family will receive friends at the family home 135 North Milton Road, Sumter.
The Remains will be placed in the church at 3:00 P. M.
The funeral cortege will leave from the family home at 3:30 P. M.
Floral Bearers and Pall Bearers will be friends of the family..
Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery, Sumter.
