Emma Jane Davis Nedd, 59, departed this life peacefully on July 19, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born November 20, 1959 in Lamar, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae and Wilmon Dubose. From a very young age, Emma was a member of Unionville AME Church, where she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into her life and served on the Stewardess Board. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1978. Following graduation, she joined the United States Army, serving as a Supply Specialist in Savannah, GA and Augsburg, Germany. Later, she was honorably discharged from the Army and began a long career with Gold Kist, Inc. until she became ill and was unable to continue working. Emma will be forever remembered by: her daughter, Ashanti N. Green (Cordon); three grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Lee Davis, Annette Davis, Loretta Davis-Clark (Rev. Larry) and Victoria M. DuBose; three brothers, Lawrence Davis, Rickey Davis and Larry Davis; the father of her daughter, Michael Nedd; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 47 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Mayesville. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019, 12 noon from the Unionville A. M. E. Church , 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Alvin E. Webb, pastor, eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 11 a. m. for viewing until the hour of service. The funeral procession will leave at 11:20 a. m. from the home. Burial will be in the Unionville A. M. E. Churchyard Cemetery.
