Roger Lee McMillan, 49, departed his life on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his home in Charleston.
Born May 11, 1960, in Lee County, he was a son of Carrie L. McMillan and the late James McMillan.
He attended the public schools of Lee County. He later moved to Charleston, where he continued his high school education. He became a member of Mount Sinai Presbyterian Church (USA) at an early age. He was an easy going, fun person to be around who made many people laugh.
He leaves to mourn his memories: six sisters, Francis (Willie) Black, Lillie Parks, Joann (Allen) Beale, all of Baltimore, MD, Icie (David) Anderson of Wilmington, NC, Mary Wheeler of Mayesville, and Adele (Ted) Wilson of Green Cove Springs, FLA; two brothers, Ernest McMillan and William James McMillan; three aunts; four uncles; a host of special cousins, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2010 from the Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church (USA), St. Charles Road, St. Charles, with Rev. Joseph Boutte, officiating, eulogist.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mary Wheeler, 712 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville.
The remains will be placed in the church at 1:00 p. m.
The procession will leave the home of his sister at 1:30 p.m.
Floral Bearers and Pall Bearers will be cousins and friends of the family.
Burial will be in the Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church Yard Cemetery, St. Charles.
