Wilhemina Gregg Richardson, 63, departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born January 11, 1955, in Sumter County, she was the daughter of Mae Bell Gregg and raised by her stepfather, Robert Loney. She attended the public schools of Sumter County, and was a graduate of Maywood High School, Class of 1974. She was a dedicated and hard worker, whereas she worked at the Silver Moon Café and Holiday Inn in Myrtle Beach for several years. She later retired due to health illness. Wilhemina was a woman who loved God, her family and friends. At an early age she joined Beulah AME Church under the watchful eyes of God, her pastor and her devoted grandmother, the late Mary Gregg, who raised her and taught her Christian values. She leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband, Ernest Richardson; children, Michael Richardson, Sr. and friend, Shondau Kennedy, Anthony Richardson and friend, Tesheka Wells, and Hope (Curtis) Wallace, all of Sumter; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two aunts, Bishop Mary Gregg Watkins of Coney Island, NY and Sarah Gregg of Sumter; a host of other relatives and friends. The family received relatives and friends at the home, 108 East Charlotte Avenue, Sumter. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29, 2018, 2:30 p. m. from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Drusilla Harvin, officiating, eulogist, Burial was in the Beulah AME Church Yard Cemetery, Sumter.
