Kie’Aunta “KiKi” Claridy, 23, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home in Pinewood. Born July 24, 1995, in Horry County, she was the daughter of Wendell Claridy, Sr. and the late Zelda Lewis Claridy. She attended the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, she joined Mount Pisgah A. M. E. Church, where she was a member of the youth choir, Young People’s Department and Girl Scout. In addition to her father, memories will be cherished by her fiancé, Alex Canty; seven brothers, Cedric Bellamy, Kendall (Michelle) Williams, Raheem Chestnut, Jeremy Chestnut, Quamaine Chestnut, all of Little River, Wendell Claridy, Jr. and Jarray Claridy, both of Sumter; one sister, Kenyella Lewis-Claridy of Sumter; grandmother, Mary Lee Claridy of Little River; one uncle, Samuel (Carolyn) Lewis; five aunts, Mellony (James) Anderson, Machelle Lewis, Kimberly Crank, all of Sumter, Vicky Baldwin of Virginia and Pam Claridy of Little River; four great aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 4375 Birch Court, Dalzell. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018, 2 p. m. from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Joseph Rick, eulogist, Elder J. Elbert Williams, presiding. The funeral processional will leave from the home at 1:20 p. m. Burial will be in the Mulberry Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Sumter.
