Darryl Tremaine Stuckey, Sr., 43, departed this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Sumter. Born on July 1, 1975 in Lee County, he was the son of the late Elouise Stuckey and David Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, his mother, Elouise and sister, Tara Stuckey Ford. He was educated in the public schools of Lee County where he played football for Mt. Pleasant High School, Elliott. Following high school, he held down many positions with the work force. Darryl attended Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member. He also fellowshipped with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where he volunteered with Harvest Hope Food Bank. Darryl was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He love grilling and his Green Bay Packers and Boston Celtics, but mostly spending time with his family and friends whom he loved more than life itself. Cherished and fond memories of his life will be remembered by his children, Daquan Tremaine Moses, Tessica Shaquanda Charles, Ny’Asia L. Stuckey, La’Quisha U. Stuckey, Darryl Tremaine Stuckey, Jr., Taesean Holloman, A’Miyah Lyons and Ay’Dien Tremaine Stuckey; his pride and joy, his grandchildren, RayQuan R. Stuckey, Cameron J. Stuckey, D’Mari N. Brunson; siblings, Rashad Stuckey, Lashad Stuckey, David Mitchell, Jr., Chantel Bailey, Mechell Mitchell; special niece, Alicia Q. Stuckey and special nephew, Darius J. Ford; Tiffanie Newkirk, a very special friend and love; his aunts, Brenda Percy, Mae Alice McGruder, Lisa Stuckey, Charlesena King; his uncles, James “Frog” Stuckey, Neugene Stuckey; a special uncle, Sam McGruder; his godfather, Charles J. King (Kathleen); a special cousin, Javon Herriott; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 3870 Delaware Drive, Dalzell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, 2 p. m. from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Evangelist Ka’tetcia D. Simmons, officiating, eulogist. The funeral processional will leave from the home at 1:20 p. m. Burial will be in the New Jerusalem Church Yard Cemetery, Lynchburg.
