Arthur E. Mack, 82, originally of 108 Harris Street, Sumter, was born February 10, 1936, to the late Rev. Waddell and Pearl Pringle Mack. He departed this life on March 20, 2018 in Erin, Tennessee. He attended the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age he became a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist church, where he was a faithful member and served in several capacities until his relocation to Erin, TN. Arthur retired from Campbell Soup Company after many years of employment. He loved fishing and hunting and was an avid baseball fan. Arthur leaves to cherish precious memories: his children, Arthur Mack Jr. (Shauna) of Charlotte, NC, Elroy Mack (Sherri) of Atlanta, GA, Earl Mack, Hattie Broadnax of Fayetteville, NC., Tony Mack, Donna Brown-Peguese of Washington, DC, Wanda Zuell, Eugene Mahoney of Sumter; two brothers, Raymond Mack (Brenda) and Leon Mack; one sister, Lottie Bell Hunter, all of Sumter; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the home of his brother, Deacon Raymond Mack, 650 South Pike East, Sumter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 11 a. m. from the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1275 Oswego Highway 401 North, Sumter with the Rev. Daniel Bennett Jr., officiating, eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 10 a. m. The procession will leave the home at 10:30 a. m. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
