Devin D. Dinkins, 41, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Rembert. Born November 24, 1976, in Sumter County, he was the son of Mamie Ella Sanders Dinkins and the late Joseph Parker. He attended Rafting Creek Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Sunday School faithfully and sang in the Children’s choir. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Hillcrest High School, Class of 1995. He played Basketball and played well in the games. He was a former employee of Becton Dickinson Company and Kendall Corporation. Devin was a well known Barber. He worked at Custom Styles by “Boo Parker”. He was also a handy man and a helper to family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother; two brothers, Joseph (Laura) Parker, Robert Byrd of Rembert; one sister, Pastor Margaret Parker of Atlanta, GA; two uncles, Willie (Nancy) Sanders, Edgar (Emily) Sanders; five aunts, Louise (Sam) Graham, Alberta (Johnnie) Williams, Steral (John) Singleton, Sallie Sanders and Emma Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018, 10 a. m. from the Rafting Creek Baptist Church, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert, with the Rev. Melvin Mack, pastor, the Rev. William Sanders, eulogist. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5740 Stage Coach Road, Rembert. The Remains will be placed in the church at 9 a. m. The funeral procession will leave the home at 9:20 a. m. Burial will be in the Rafting Creek Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
