Mekhi E Rembert
Jul 02, 2016 to Jul 19, 2017

Master Mekhi E. Rembert, 1, was born on July 2, 2016 to Latisha Rembert and Charles Ballard in Sumter County and departed this early life on July 19, 2017. As a baby, Mekhi came into this world clinging on to life. After coming home, he begun to quickly overcome several obstacles. He was growing from a baby to a toddler quicker than even the doctors had expected. One of the greatest things he first learned to do was express himself. His expressions would often catch you by surprise and his laugh was out of this world. In addition to his mom and dad, those left to cherish his memories are: three brothers, La’Darien ‘U” Wells, Charles L. Ballard and Elijah Ballard; his maternal grandparents, Nathan and Mae Epps; paternal grandparents, Julia and William Ballard; one great grandfather, Nathaniel Epps; two uncles; three aunts; eleven grand uncles; three grand aunts; a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held Today, July 25, 2017 – 11 am from the Grant Hill Baptist Church, 5401 Black River Road, Rembert, with the Rev. Clifton Witherspoon, pastor, the Rev. Moses M. Rembert, eulogist, Minister Jake Sanders III, presiding. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of grandparents, Nathan and Mae Epps, 101 Jasmine Street, Sumter. The Remains will be placed in the church at 10 a. m. The procession will leave 10:20 a. m. from the home. Burial will be in the Grant Hill Baptist Church yard Cemetery.
