Albert Brisbone Sr

On the afternoon of Friday, June 30, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, God saw Albert Brisbone, Sr. was getting very weary, so God did what he thought was best, He came and stood by Albert and whispered “Come and Rest”. Born in Lee County, March 9, 1948, he was the son of the late James Arthur “Jack” Brisbon, Sr. and Fannie Mathis Brisbon. Albert attended the public schools of Lee County and worked for Sumter County Public Works until retirement. He joined Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church at an early age, then, later in life Albert recommitted his life to Christ at Mt. Olive, where he was a faithful member. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 50 years, Willene Thomasena Wactor Brisbone of Sumter; one daughter, Lisa Brisbone of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Randy Brisbone of Sumter and Marcus (Renesha) Brisbone of Columbia; one sister, Willie Katherine Rufus of Dalzell; four brothers, John Miller (Carrie) Brisbon of Columbia, James Arthur Brisbon, Jr. of Washington, DC, Ashby (Rachell) Brisbon of Lansdale, PA and Henry Edward Brisbone of Woodrow; four sisters-in-law; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 – 12 noon from the Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, 2738 Woodrow Road ( Highway 441), Woodrow, with the Rev. Dr. Friendly J. Gadson, pastor, eulogist. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5470 Raymond Jenkins Street, Sumter. The Remains will be placed in the church at 11 a. m. The procession will leave 11:20 a. m. from the home. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Memorial Garden, Pear Street, Woodrow.
