Sam Toney Wilson, 49, departed this life on Friday, May 26, 2017 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence. Born November 10, 1967, in Sumter County, he was the son of the late Arthur Wilson, Sr. and Pearl McCray Wilson. “Bread” as he was affectionately called, attended the public schools of Sumter County. He was reared in Salem Baptist Church, Sumter. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Deloris (Luther) Bells and Theresa Sykes of Sumter; three brothers, Henry McCray of Sumter, Arthur Wilson, Jr. of Greenville, Corell Anderson of Charlotte, NC; a devoted friend, Darnetta Turner of Florence; two nieces, Tyiesha Franklin of Greenville, Knyah Brigg of Sumter; three nephews, Quentrill White of Sumter, Luther Bells III and Willie White III of Greenville; five aunts; two uncles; a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 1:00 p. m., from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Pastor Michael James, officiating, eulogist. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 4128 Patriot Parkway, Sumter. The Procession will leave from the home at 12:20 p. m. Burial will be in the Old McFadden Cemetery, Turbeville.
