Barbara Ann Calhoun-McGee, 68, wife of Willie McGee, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Ruby Mayes Calhoun. Barbara was raised in Philadelphia, where she attended the public schools. In 1994, she moved to South Carolina where she continued her work in the medical field. At the time of her passing she was employed at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center as a LPN. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 45 years, Willie McGee; two sons, Kenneth Calhoun of PA and Christopher McGee of Sumter; three granddaughters, Denaysha and Makaila McGee of Sumter and Simirah Calhoun of PA; two great granddaughter, Brynlee and Aubree Turner of Sumter; three brothers, Collies and Michael Calhoun of PA and Robert (Cheryl) Calhoun of Sumter; special niece, Aisha Brown of PA; special sister-in-law, Sadie Calhoun; special friend, Jackie of Sumter; and a special daughter, Katrina Trimnal and Kristina Craig of Sumter and Noni Smith of PA; and a host of other relatives and friends. In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. The procession will leave from the home at 12:20 p. m.
