On Monday morning, December 28, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, after a short illness, Chelly Nichole Spann, transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly reward. Born June 21, 1976, Chelly was the daughter of Marie Spann and Charles Isaac Spann. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and received her diploma from Hillcrest High School, Dalzell. At an early age, she attended Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, Woodrow. She leaves to cherish her memories: her parents, Marie and Charles Spann and step mother, Francia Spann; one son, Rayshawd Shamaine Robinson of the home; three sisters, Shanna Marie Spann of the home, Kimberly and Charlene Spann of Sumter; three brothers, Charles Lavon Spann (Octivia) of Chesterfield, VA, Jamaine Lamont English (Latonya) of Norfolk, VA, Terrance Bradley of Sumter; one step brother, Jamie Martin (Charleen); two aunts, Susie Brisbon of Sumter and Evelyn Duncan of Rembert; one grand aunt, Amy Brisbon of Woodrow; two uncles, Arthur Spann of Arizona and James Spann of Mayesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p. m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Mt. Olive Memorial Garden, Pear Street, Woodrow, with the Rev. Dr. Ralph L. Brown, pastor of Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, officiating. The procession will leave the home at 1:15 p. m.
