Emma Osborne Workman Sanders, 92, departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Kershaw Health Hospital, Camden. She was born on October 8, 1927 in Hagood to the late Parker Osborne and Emma Osborne Portee. Emma attended the public schools of Sumter County. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Rafting Creek Baptist Church. Emma was united in holy matrimony to the late Hilliard Workman and to the late Joseph Sanders. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children; Martha Sanders of the home, Mary (Caleb) Kershaw, Janie (Jonathan) Moore, Fannie (Marion) Moore, Geneva Murphy, all of Rembert, Hilliard (Sandra) Osborne of Hyattsville, MD, Richmond (Martha) Workman of Washington, D. C., Joseph (Shirley) Sanders of Grenada, MS; step-children, Marilyn Workman Duvall of Georgia, Morris Workman of Washington, D. C., Felix (Doris) Workman of Rembert; sisters-in-law, Mamie Ella Dinkins, Sally Sanders, Steral (John) Singleton, all of Rembert, Louise (Samuel) Graham of Sumter, Alberta (Johnny) Williams of Laurelton, N. Y.; brothers-in-law, Edgar (Emily) Sanders of Rembert; thirty grandchildren; fifty one great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; a special granddaughter she raised, Janessa (Ricardo) Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5295 Dais Road, Rembert. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p. m., Sunday, March 8, 2020 from the Rafting Creek Baptist Church, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert, with the Rev. Melvin Mack, pastor, the Rev. William K. Sanders, Eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 1:00 p. m. The procession will leave from the home at 1:20 p. m. Burial will be in the Rafting Creek Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
