William “Billy” Boines, Jr., 71, son of the late William and Bessie Barfield Boines, was born on June 11, 1948 in Sumter County. He departed this life on January 18, 2020 at Flushing Hospital, Flushing, New York. He attended the public schools of Sumter County and later moved to New York. He is survived by: his wife, Sharon G. Boines; two sisters, Barbara and Vernessa; an uncle, Walter Barfield, and a host of other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020, 1 p. m., from the Barfield Cemetery, Alcolu, with Rev. Jacob McLeod, officiating. The Procession will leave from Road Way Inn, 1210 Camden Highway, Sumter, at 12 noon.
