James Clapps, 38, departed this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born March 27, 1981, in Sumter County, he was the son of James McLeod and Dana C1apps. He leaves to cherish his memories: his grandmother, Tracy Tiller of Sumter; his siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of his grandmother, Tracy Tiller, 158 Benton Court, Sumter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 ~ 4 p. m. from the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Eddie Jackson, officiating, eulogist. The procession will leave from the home at 3:30 p. m. Burial will be in the Hopewell Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, Highway 441, Dalzell.
