Larnia McGee, 65, was born on September 4, 1953 to the late Sam Eugene Amos and Martha Wright Amos. She passed away peacefully at home in Sumter County surrounded by a loving family on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Larnia attended the public schools of Sumter County. She was a member of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church. Before retirement she was a faithful employer at Comfort Keeper as a caregiver. Larnia enjoyed life, family members and many friends. She was always there to make everyone laugh and brighten the lives of others. Larnia’s loving memories will be cherished by: her husband, Steven McGee of the home; two sons, James (Tabitha) Amos and Troy (Wylanda) McGee; one daughter, Martha (Robbie) Ramsey, all of Sumter; four sisters, Mary Amos, Sarah (Raymond) Balls, Marie Amos and Shirley Amos, all of Sumter; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a granddaughter she raised, Tajanee McGee, along with thirteen other grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of her daughter, 1100 Kentwood Drive, Sumter. Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, 2 p. m., at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 803 South Harvin Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Marion H. Newton, Senior Pastor, Eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 1 p. m. for viewing until time of services. The funeral procession will leave at 1:20 p. m. from the home.
